How do I make amendments to my Payday files that IR do not yet have |
This depends on what needs to be fixed. If you need to correct the employee name, DOB, IRD number, postal address, phone numbers or email...just go to the employee record make the adjustment. For Fileupload repeat the steps to 'Create File'. For Gateway, when you click Send the latest details will be picked up. If you need to correct employee start date, termination date, tax code, any payment details (i.e. gross pay, tax, Kiwisaver contributions, Child support, Student Loan)... then if the employee(s) has not yet been paid, use rollback pay to fix. Upon closing the pay, just follow same steps as though pay hadn't been rolled back. However, if the employee has been paid, then it is expected that you will make corrections in a manual pay or next standard pay, so just send IR what you have and then corrections will get picked up when you generate the files with that manual pay/next standard pay. |

If the correction is for employee name, DOB, IRD number, postal address, phone numbers or email, then the correction can be picked up in the next standard/manual pay If the correction is for anything else, rolling back the pay is not advisable as the resulting files will be either treated as duplicates or will append the earnings already reported. For now, amendments must be made manually using IR's direct entry option. |
