AL ReconciliationAL Reconciliation Year Shows the start and end date of the AL year being reconciled Gross qualifying earnings Takes the employee's Gross qualifying ($) (aka AL Gross) value prior to closing the pay where the rollover occurs plus any pre-rollover portion contributing the employees AL gross for the year. Hours/Days/Weeks Worked Takes values from the employee's Total hours paid, Total days paid and Total weeks paid shown on the Annual Leave tab prior to closing the pay where the rollover occurs plus any pre-rollover portion contributing the these values from the rollover pay. New Average rates last year Each rate takes the "Gross qualifying earnings" on the shown in the note and divides by the unit of work. These rates are then recorded in the "Last year average ....rate" fields on the employee's O/s tab. Dollars accrued this year "Gross qualifying earnings" * employee's AL table Entitlement (Percentage of gross) Rounded accrued units Takes the "Total accrued" units shown on the employee's Annual Leave tab prior to closing the pay where the rollover occurs plus any pre-rollover portion contributing the these values from the rollover pay. It also looks at the Rollover round to nearest field on the Setup tab of the employee's AL table to determine what rounding if any needs to be done. Units in advance Takes the "Total accrued taken" units shown on the employee's Annual Leave tab prior to closing the pay where the rollover occurs plus any pre-rollover portion contributing the these values from the rollover pay. Nett units from this year Sum of "Rounded accrued units" minus "Units in advance" Units from last year Sums the remaining unused units from the employee's previous AL years. This is aggregated total from each year of service on the employee's O/s tab this is Outstanding minus Used fields. Note: This calculation factors in leave taken in the rollover pay and also changes to profiled hours/days for employees who use the Weekly/Rostered leave accrual method Calculate entitlement amount using an average over "n" weeks "n" reflects the employee's AL table Entitlement Weeks New outstanding units employee's AL table Entitlement Weeks "Units from last year" minus "Nett units from this year" Note: If "Nett units from this year" are negative, no calculation is made, the negative nett units are carried forward into the new leave taken in advance value Amounts accrued this year This figure is dependant on the value set in the Holiday pay gross calc. method field on the Values tab of the employee's AL table. The value should match "Dollars accrued this year". If it doesn't then it means Holiday pay gross calc. method field is incorrectly set to "Average - Standard" instead of "Use gross earning accrued" Amounts paid in advance Takes the "Gross accrued ($)" shown on the employee's Annual Leave tab prior to closing the pay where the rollover occurs plus any pre-rollover portion contributing the these values from the rollover pay. Nett Accrued amount "Amounts accrued this year" minus "Amounts paid in advance" Note: If "Nett Accrued amount" is negative, the amount is written to the "Amounts paid in advance" on roll-over AL Payout Max Unit CalculationStatutory Payout Maximum units "Nett units from this year" divided by "Entitlement Weeks" Note: This value is written to the "Maximum" field on the employee's Annual Leave tab after rollover if the value is greater than or equal to the "New outstanding units". Basically if the employee has used all 4 weeks leave in advance there is nothing to cash-up.
