Summary

The Risk Assessment tab page records and calculates the overall Risk factor of a Hazard based on the following criteria:

• Frequency of exposure

  How often an employee may be exposed to the hazard during the course of their work.

• Probability of exposure will result in harm

  Indicates the likelihood of injury resulting from exposure to the hazard.

• Consequences of exposure resulting in harm

  Indicates the degree of severity of the injury arising from exposure to the hazard.

Each criteria is assigned a numerical value on a pre-determined scale of 1-5 where ‘1’ indicates a minimal likelihood and ‘5’ an extremely high likelihood.
