Plotting Salary Information

Summary

Generally, survey vendors will plot three different graphs:

  • Cash
  • Total Employee Rewards
  • Total Employment Cost

Cash

Cash practice line - the amount of remuneration paid for a Position in terms of the salary components that are paid in cash (e.g. salary and allowance payments).

Total Employee Rewards

Total Employee Rewards is the total remuneration for a Position including both cash and non cash benefits of value to the employee.

Total Employment Cost

Total Employment Cost is the total cost of employing a person in a Position. It includes total remuneration, fringe benefit tax and on- costs such as training and travel.
