You need to upgrade your PayGlobal database at least once a year for end-of-year tax changes. You may also need to upgrade your PayGlobal database to install:

Upgrade messages |
After you install a new version of PayGlobal, you can upgrade your database. When you restart PayGlobal the following type of message appears: Click "OK" to upgrade your database to the new version, then check the audit log and restart PayGlobal. Important: After you upgrade your database, you cannot run it on an earlier version of PayGlobal. If your PayGlobal application is an older version than your company database, then the following message appears when you restart PayGlobal: You can click "OK" to close the message, but PayGlobal will not start. If your PayGlobal database is set to a compatibility level less than that of the SQL Server it is located on, then a warning message will be written to the upgrade audit log : |
Tax upgrade after processing first pay |
You should run tax upgrades before you process the first pay for the new financial year so PayGlobal can apply the new tax rules. However, if you do not complete the upgrade and you open, complete, and process (but not close) the first pay, then you must:
