Summary

This tab page records the association between a Cost Centre and the General Ledger. These fields are optional and should only be completed when you want Cost Centre information used in your General Ledger system. You may need to check with your Finance/Accounting department for this information.

Fields
General ledger code:

PayGlobal does not validate General ledger codes. You must enter this information correctly because the code links PayGlobal with the General Ledger system. An incorrect General ledger code will result in incorrect information being exported to your General Ledger system.

General ledger description:

A brief description of the General ledger code, such as "Wages".

Expiry date:

Any Cost Centre information associated with the General ledger code will not be exported to the General Ledger system after the date set in this field.

When you process a pay, PayGlobal compares the cost centre Expiry date against the End date of any associated transactions. If the Expiry date is before the End date, then the cost centre has expired so pay processing fails and a warning appears in the audit log.
