Summary

The fields on this tab page are optional. They are used primarily for reporting the costs of Task Types to your organisation. Complete them to link a Task Type with costing details.

Cost Centre:

Select a Cost Centre here if you want a Task Type included in Cost Centre reporting. If the Cost Centre selected here has a General ledger code attached to it, costs relating to this Task Type will export to your General Ledger system.

Job:

Task Types can be broken down into various Jobs. For example, the Jobs for a Cost Centre 'Sales' could contain the names of each major client in an organisation. You may want to report on the proportion of time each Sales Representative devotes to each client.

Award:

A Task Type may be only relevant to one Award.

Rate:

Sometimes a Task Type can be charged at a special Rate.

Rate amount:

A value that will override the default rate set for Tasks within a Task Type.

Factor:

The Factor is a multiplier that when is combined with the Rate. A standard Factor where the Rate remains the same is 1.0000.
