Summary

These fields define when the payroll rule is processed in relation to other payroll rules. For example, a payroll rule for paying allowances needs to be processed before a payroll rule that deducts a percentage of an employee's total pay. You need to calculate the allowances before you can use a total for the deduction payroll rule.

Fields
Payroll Rule:

Payroll rule that you want to specify the order for.

Evaluate rule before:

Controls when the payroll rule is processed. For a full list of evaluation ranks and when to use them, see Payroll Rule Evaluation Ranks.

Rank:

Order of a payroll rule in relation to other payroll rules. For example, Rule '01' is applied before Rule '02'. Payroll rules with no rank are processed before ranked payroll rules.
