Roll the Calendar - Step 4

Summary

This is Step 4 of the Roll Calendar function.

Rolling the calendar automatically brings through the TTD, MTD, YTD, FYR and Superannuation accumulators for the period PTDs that you have created.

Procedure

Follow the steps below to complete the Roll Period Calendar form:

  1. Navigate to the Periods entity and double-click the required period.
  2. Click the Calendar tab.
  3. Click Edit to change to Edit mode.
  4. Right-click the tab page and select Roll Calendar from the menu.
  5. Complete the following fields:

    Field

    Details

    New First PTD Code

Select the first Period PTD code in the new calendar.

    New Last PTD Code

Select the last Period PTD code in the new calendar.

    YTD Code to Model

The general ledger and period number for the new calendar year is copied from the Period YTD in this field. By default, PayGlobal uses the YTD code in the last period record on the Calendar tab.

Note: If your financial year is not aligned to your tax year, then PayGlobal will recognise this and roll the calendar accordingly.

    New YTD Code

Select the Period YTD code for the new calendar year.

Financial YTD Code at start of New YTD Code

Select the Period Financial YTD code for the new calendar.

For example, an Australian company has a financial year that changes in September. At the beginning of the new 10/11 YTD (01 July) they still have two months of the previous financial YTD left, so you would enter 09/10 in this field.

    New Financial YTD Code

Select the actual Period Financial YTD code for the new calendar.

FB YTD Code at start of New YTD Code (Aus only)

Select the fringe benefit YTD code at the beginning of the new YTD.

New FB YTD Code (Aus only)

Select the fringe benefit year-to-date code for the new calendar.

Check the From and To dates for each field.

  6. Click OK to return to the Calendar tab.
  7. Press F5 to refresh the data in the Calendar grid.
  8. Scroll down to the first new Period PTD for the new tax year.

PayGlobal has created period records, but the following cells are empty:

    • Period Tax PTD
    • Period MTD
    • Period Superannuation PTD.

You will enter these values manually by editing the calendar.

Note: If your database contains user-defined PTDs, then these cells will also be empty.

Important: Although the YTD Code to Model and Financial YTD Code at start of New YTD Code fields are automatically populated, these fields can be edited if these accumulators are not applicable to the new pay calendar year.
