Period MTDs define the number of days in each monthly reporting period. Most financial controllers need to run reports every month.

Pays spanning two calendar months

If a pay starts in one month, but employees are paid in the following month, then for reporting purposes, the entire pay 'belongs' to the month in which the employees are paid. For more information, see General Periods.
