Summary

You can use the Align or Space toolbar to position components uniformly. For example, you can align a row of components so that the top edges are even or you can space components so that they have an equal amount of space between them.

To select the required components, click and drag to create a box that includes the required components. The corners of the selected components are silver.

Buttons

The Align or Space toolbar contains the following buttons:

• Align Left

  Aligns a group of components with the component in the group that is closest to the left side of the report.

• Align Middle

  Centres a group of components based on the horizontal centre of the component that was selected first.

• Align Right

  Aligns a group of components with the component in the group that is closest to the right side of the report.

• Align Top

  Aligns a group of components with the component in the group that is closest to the top of the report.

• Align Centre

  Aligns a group of components based on the vertical centre of the component that was selected first.

• Align Bottom

  Aligns a group of components with the component in the group that is closest to the bottom of the report.

• Space Horizontally

  Spaces a group of components evenly between the component closest to the left of the report and the component closest to the right of the report.

• Space Vertically

  Spaces a group of components evenly between the component closest to the top of the report and the component closest to the bottom of the report.

• Centre Horizontally in Band

  Centres a component horizontally within a band.

• Centre Vertically in Band

  Centres a component vertically within a band.
