FBT Calculation - Details (Aus)

Payroll | FBT Calculation command | Details tab

Summary

The FBT Calculation command updates employee fringe benefit totals; it does not calculate fringe benefit tax. When you run this command, PayGlobal does the following:

  • Totals the applicable allowance group, fringe benefit deduction and other employee fringe benefit amounts.
  • Updates the Employee YTDFBT field.

You can check these amounts in the resultant audit log.

Fields
Detailed log:

Yes/No field that determines whether PayGlobal produces a detailed audit log for this process.

Allowance Group:

Optional field for the allowance group that fringe benefits are derived from.

Note: The fringe benefit fields are not displayed if FB Employer Type = 'None' in Company Settings.
See Company Settings - Tax Details (Aus).

FB YTD:

If you select an FB YTD code, then PayGlobal populates the Date From and To fields with the FB YTD values, and disables these fields. If you do not select an FB YTD code, then you can enter Date From and To values.

Date From, To:

Enabled when FB YTD = Blank. Enter the date range for the FBT calculation.

Total FB deduction:

Yes/No field that determines whether totals are calculated for historical deductions with FB type = Type 1 and Type 2.

Include other Employee FB amounts:

Yes/No field that determines whether totals are calculated for Type 1 and Type 2 external fringe benefit amounts in Employee Fringe Benefit records for the specified date range.

Gross up total:

Yes/No field that determines whether the previous two totals and the allowance group total are multiplied by the Fringe Benefit Rate | Type 2 Gross Up Rate.
