Overview

This topic explains the effect of creating and saving an Employee Super Funds record for a superannuation fund with KiwiSaver Status = "KiwiSaver scheme" in a New Zealand database.

Important: Employees can have only one Employee Super Funds record for a KiwiSaver superannuation fund for a given date range. Employee Super Funds records for KiwiSaver superannuation funds cannot have overlapping date ranges.

Field Changes

When you create an Employee Super Funds record for a KiwiSaver superannuation fund, the following changes occur:

• Employee Super Funds | Bank Details tab fields are disabled.
• Employee Super Funds | Membership tab | Member ID field is:
  • Populated with the employee's IRD number.
  • Greyed out and non-editable.
• Default Start date is the later of the current system date and the KiwiSaver | Start Date.
