Injured Person Injuries - Details

Details

The Details tab page records the details of the injury sustained by the injured person.

Fields
Date of first incapacity:

Date the injured person first became incapable of performing their normal duties.

Agency of Harm Code:

Indicates how the injury occurred, for example Electrical equipment or Chemical products.

You must use the codes specified by the ACC. These codes are set up in Agencies of Harm.

Nature of Harm Code:

Type of injury sustained by the victim, for example a burn or fracture.

Body Part Code:

Body part that sustained the injury, for example Face or Chest.

You must use the codes specified by the ACC. These codes are set up in Body Parts.

Side of injury:

Indicates which side of the injured person’s body the injury was sustained.

Values specified by the ACC are:

  • Blank (default)
  • 1. Left
  • 2. Right
  • 3. Not applicable

ACCPP Claim Data file requirement - NZ only.

Treatment Type Code:

Type of treatment given to the injured person at the time of the accident. For example, hospitalised or treated by a doctor.

Mechanism of Harm Code:

Indicates how the injury happened. For example, Falls from a height or Hitting moving objects.

You must use the codes specified by the ACC. These codes are set up in Mechanisms of Harm.
