Summary

Performance Planning and management is the process of identifying, evaluating and developing the work performance of employees in an organisation. This process ensures that the organisation's goals and objectives are achieved in addition to benefiting employees in terms or recognition, feedback, catering for work needs and offering career guidance.

The Performance Management folder

The Performance Management folder contains four sub-folders:

  • Performance Planning - Performance Planning focuses on what is expected from an employee's performance, and contains strategies and plans to develop employee performance over a period of time.
  • Performance Appraisals - Performance Appraisals focus on an employee's performance relative to pre-determined targets.
  • Job Evaluation Details - Job Evaluations are used to make comparisons of salary data both within and between organisations.
  • Competency Details - Competency Details define what is expected from employees in the workplace and are used as a basis of Performance Planning and Appraisal.
