Organisation

Organisation

Summary

The Organisation area of PayGlobal defines an organisation’s structure. This includes:

  • Physical divisions (internal companies, location, department, work area)
  • Key financial details (allowances, deductions, rates, awards, award interpreter)
  • Other company-specific information such as periods and reasons.

Most entities in Organisation are related to two or more modules of PayGlobal. For example, Payroll and Human Resources.

Procedure

Setup of Organisations

Most organisations group employee records by Work Areas. Work Areas are formed from a combination of Location and Department.

Many organisations operate a more complex structure than this and require additional groupings. For example, a hospital may need to further define their structure in terms of services provided and wards. The user- defined Dim entities accomplish this.

PayGlobal provides up to six options for defining employee groupings. As well as Location and Department, the four additional entities are identified in Company Settings as Dim1, Dim2, Dim3 and Dim4. Each of these entities is user-defined and can be customised to organisational requirements.
