Currently, this field is unavailable; it will be used for effective rate calculations.

Employee field to rate

Enable when Rate calculation = "N. Amount of Employee field".

Use this field to calculate rates based on employee fields when those rates are not already used in hard-coded PayGlobal calculation methods, such as "Daily" or "Weekly". You can multiply a rate by any field value in the Employee table.

Rates are calculated based on data in the employee masterfile record.

Example - Weekly rate

Calculate rates beyond the usual daily and weekly rates. For example, the weekly rate is based on the employee's total profiled hours. However, your company wants to base a weekly rate on a different field, such as contract hours.

Example - Leave payout rate

Calculate a leave payout rate based on a field other than total profiled hours, such as annual leave qualifying hours.

Example - Bonus rate calculation

In Victorian health systems, employees receive a payment based on service. The bonus payable is stored on the employee masterfile in a user-defined field. A rate called "Factor" with a value of 1.00 is stored on all awards. The bonus rate calculation multiplies the Factor rate by the value in the employee's user-defined field to derive a bonus rate for each employee.

New rate calculation applies from

Enabled when Rate calculation = "F. Last Years AL/LC Rate".

This calculation method contains two formulas that represent the NZ Holidays Act 1981 and the NZ Holidays Act 2003.

  • If you leave this field blank, then PayGlobal continues to use the Holidays Act 1981 formula.
  • If you enter a date, then PayGlobal uses the NZ Holidays Act 2003 formula from that date.
