Use this tab to enter the date range for a Period PTD. For example, if the first date range for a weekly pay is 27/03/2020 to 02/04/2020, then the next weekly pay would be 03/04/2020 to 09/04/2020.

Start date of the Period PTD.

Date to:

End date of the Period PTD.

In Australia and New Zealand, taxation legislation requires the exact determination of the tax period or year for each pay sequence is based on the date that the employee is paid. This information is also required for reporting purposes.

In Australian and NZ databases, the Payment date will determine the taxation rules for the pay sequence (unless overridden).

In Fiji:

  • Payment date is an optional field, and the default value is the Period End date.
  • PayGlobal will use the Period End date to determine taxation rules for the pay sequence (unless overridden). However, PayGlobal will prompt you to select the correct taxation rules when the Payment date is outside the associated YTD date range.
  • The Payment date can be used to record the actual date of payment of the pay, and it can be used in reports.

PayGlobal does not validate the Payment date value that you enter in the Period PTD record and you can always edit it.
