Summary |
A band is a section of the main design view that describes how the report will look. Bands are the area between each row. The labels are below the corresponding band, so you need to add the required information in the area above the label. The Design form is divided into five main sections, or bands. You can show or hide bands by selecting or unselecting them under the Report menu option. To resize bands, click on the shaded band line, and drag up or down with the left mouse button. |
Title band |
Appears at the top of the first page of the report. Use this band to add a company logo, address or report title. |
Header band |
Appears at the top of every page. Use this band to add labels to data columns from the Detail band. |
Detail band |
Where most data should go, and is compulsory for every report. Each data record takes up one horizontal space in the details section of the final report. |
Footer band |
Appears at the bottom of every page. Use this band for system variables, such as date, time and page numbers. |
Summary band |
Appears at the end of the report. Use this band to add a conclusion to the report, or to add DBCalc components that show totals of numeric columns. |
Group Header |
Appears only when grouping fields. This band appears at the start of every group. Use this band for adding a general group heading. |
Group Footer |
Only when grouping fields. This appears at the end of each group. You might want to put a horizontal rule here to help separate the groups. |
