Summary

The Report Tree toolbar shows all bands and components in your designer report. You can use the Report Tree to check what components are in your report and to select the components. The Report Tree is very useful if your report contains a large number of overlapping components that are difficult to view on the Design tab.

Notes

• You can select a component by clicking it, but you cannot select multiple components in the Report Tree; only on the Design tab.
• When you select a component in the Report Tree, it is also selected on the Design tab.

  Other right-click options are Report Outline, Object Outline and Show Titles. The last two options are selected by default, and you can select Report Outline to show the main report and any sub-reports.

Rename a report object

The following example explains how to rename a report object.

1. Click the object in the Report Tree to select it.
2. Click the object again to highlight its name
3. Type the new name over the old name.
4. Click the white area in the Report Tree to finalise your changes.
