Administration | Maintenance | Check Database Structure command
Summary |
The Check Database Structure command checks the structure of the database, as defined by PayGlobal. Database structure is the way in which the database is designed. Note: Database integrity addresses the contents of the database. The Check Database Integrity command checks the validity of the database to make sure that it contains logical data. For example, it checks the parent and child tables to ensure valid relationships. |
Upgrading |
When you upgrade PayGlobal, it automatically runs the Check Database Structure command. If your database is flagged as invalid, then use the information in the resultant audit log to investigate these table errors with the Check Database Integrity command. |
Procedure |
Double-click the Check Database Structure command. A Confirm box appears with the following options:
We recommend that you click No and check the audit log report. If your audit log lists any database structure issues, then check whether they were caused by objects that you added the database. If this is the case, then do not remove your objects. If your audit log contains "Index not found" errors, then run the Standard Reindex command. |
