Storing data in PayGlobal

PayGlobal stores your data in the order that it is entered. Because data can be entered in any order it is indexed within the system for faster data retrieval.

Indexing data

Indexing is an internal function of the PayGlobal system. Indexing creates an ordered list of items, with links to where these items can be found in the system.

The PayGlobal maintenance functions Reindex and Reindex and Pack ensure that your data files are indexed correctly and maintained in a manner that makes the storage and retrieval of information efficient and trouble-free. The Reindex and Pack function removes all your old deleted records from the system, then reorders and consolidates the remaining records in the database.
