Schedulers - Schedule Rules

Summary

This tab page displays the Schedule Rules that are actioned when a Schedule is run. Use schedule rules to instruct PayGlobal to perform tasks such as running reports at a certain time or processing a pay.

Adding Schedule Rules

Use the following procedure to add a schedule rule to a Schedule.

  1. Click the Schedule Rules tab.
  2. In Edit mode, press Insert.

    The Select Schedule Rules window appears.

  3. Click the checkbox for the required schedule rule.
  4. Click OK.

    You have attached the schedule rule to the Schedule.

Ranking Schedule Rules

If you attach multiple schedule rules to a Schedule, use ranking to specify the order in which the schedule rules will be run.

To rank Schedule Rules:

  1. Double-click the first rule on the Schedule Rules tab.
  2. Complete the following fields:

    Schedule Rule: The rule that will be ranked. Select the rule from the pick list.

    Rank: Ranking determines the order in which the rules are processed.

    PayGlobal uses an alphanumeric ranking method and applies the rules in the following order:

    • Unranked rules.
    • Rules with numeric values.
    • Rules with alpha values.
