Summary

Clocks use swipe card technology to record employee start and finish times. The Details tab contains basic information about each clock, such as the clock type and number.

Fields

Enabled:

Select 'Yes' if you use this clock.

Clock type:

Specifies the clock file format.

• A. TimeMaster Dataline

  Select this option if you use Dataline. Selecting this option disables the Clocks | Import Details | Clock.ini section field, so you cannot import clock numbers.

• F. Customised flat file format

  Select this option if you use most other clock types. Selecting this option enables the Clocks | Import Details | Clock.ini section field, so you can import clock numbers.

• H. Amano AM5200
• T. TWL Pos file
• W. TWL CSV file

  Select one of these three options if it matches the type of clock used by your organisation. Selecting any of these three options disables the Clocks | Import Details | Clock.ini section field, so you cannot import clock numbers.

Clock number:

If you use several clocks, then you can use this field to identify each of them. Leaving this field blank does not affect the importing or processing of clock data.

Note: If Clock type = 'F. Customised flat file format', then this clock number is included in clock import data.
