Time & Attendance | Clocks | Import Details tab
Summary |
PayGlobal uses this information to import the clock file. You can then import clock data into Actuals Daily View. |
Fields |
Local import path:Enter the full path to the clock data file, which is usually in the company data Clock folder. The clock polling software writes the clock file to the company data Clock folder, which is then accessed by the Import Clock Data command. If you leave this field blank PayGlobal looks for the clock data file in the company data Clock folder. File name:Enter the name of the file that is generated when PayGlobal polls the clock. Usually the clock data file name is defined in the clock polling software. Each clock creates a file specific to the make of clock. For example, the output file for an Amano AM5200 clock is Amano.dat. When you import the clock file, PayGlobal changes the file extension to the file import date. For example, if you import Amano.dat on the twentieth of the month, then PayGlobal renames it Amano.020. Clock files are overwritten each month. Batch file name:If you have created a batch file to automate the clock polling process, then you can specify its path and file name. Clock.ini section:Enabled only when Clocks | Details | Clock type = 'F. Customised flat file format'. If the Clocks.ini file contains information for several clocks, then it is divided into sections for each clock. You can enter a heading to reference a specific section in the the Clocks.ini file. Note: Only a PayGlobal consultant should edit the Clocks.ini file. Log detail:After you run the Import Clock Data command, an audit log appears. This field determines the type of information that is included in the audit log.
Clock can modify file directly:Yes/No field that determines whether the clock can write to the clock data file while you are running the Import Clock Data command. Last import date:A system-generated date that is updated every time you import the clock data file. |
