Time & Attendance | Clocks | Keycode Mappings tab
Summary |
If this function is required, it will have been set by your PayGlobal Consultant during the project implementation phase. It requires special clocks and clocking software. Keycodes are codes entered at the clock by employees when they swipe to override their defaults. Keycodes control additional functions available at the clocking device such as:
For example, you can set up a key called '02' for employees who sometimes work for the Customer Services Department. Their usual department is recorded in their employee file. If they clock in without using a key, PayGlobal uses the department in their employee file. However, when they swipe in for Customer Services work, they enter the '02' key, and this code information overrides their employee file information. |
Key code fields |
There can be up to four Keycode functions programmed. Key code 1 to 4:Select the field the key has been set up against in the Keys - Details (ii) tab page. Generally clocks only use one Key. |
Clocks.ini file |
The KeyCode1= line must be completed in Clocks.ini. This file should only be edited by your PayGlobal Consultant. |
