Transaction View
Summary |
You can sort employees in ascending or descending order based on Details headers. |
Sort by one column |
When you click any of the Employee View Details headers, that column’s data will be sorted in ascending order. If you click the header again, then the data will be sorted in descending order. Use Ctrl+Click to remove sorting. Important: You should not sort the data in the Employee View Totals area because of the large amount of data involved. A triangular icon in the column header indicates the type of sorting:
|
Sort by multiple columns |
You can sort employees based on multiple Details headers, such as Department and Name.
PayGlobal sorts employee records by Department and within each Department by Name, both in ascending order. |
Sort by groups |
You can sort records based on their grouping (see Transaction View - Group Employees). When you group employees by Department, you can sort Departments in ascending or descending order. If you group employees by Department first and by Position second, you can sort both groups in ascending or descending order, and sort employees within those groups by any ungrouped Details header. |
Save your layout |
When you finish customising your layout, you must use File | Save Layout As to save your settings. Your most recently saved layout becomes the default layout, and you will see it whenever you access this window. If you do not Save Layout As, then your changes will be lost when you exit or apply another layout. |
