Summary

You can use this tab page to add or edit workflow definitions, which contain the code for workflows.

Add a Workflow to the Group

Complete the following fields:

Workflow Definition Code:

Select the workflow definition that you want to add to the group.

Rank:

Use this field to order the workflows in a workflow group. A workflow with Rank = 1 is listed before a workflow with Rank = 12.

Note: PayGlobal uses an alphanumeric rank system and numeric values are ranked above alphabetical values. For example, "1A" is ranked above "A1". Unranked records are ranked above ranked records.

Create new Workflow Definition

The Create new Workflow Definition button allows you to create a blank workflow definition in a workflow. After you create the workflow definition, you have to create the workflow in the PayGlobal Workflow Editor.

  1. In the Workflow Groups grid, open the group that you want to add the workflow to.
  2. On the Workflow Groups | Workflows tab, open a workflow definition, and then click Edit.
  3. On the Details tab, click Create new Workflow Definition.

    The Create New Workflow Definition form appears.

  4. Enter a Code and Description for the new workflow definition.
  5. Click OK.
  6. On the new Workflow Group Workflows form, click Save + Close to return to the Workflow Groups | Workflows tab.

    You have added a blank workflow definition to the workflow group.

  7. Right-click the workflow definition that you created, and then click Edit Workflow Definition.

    An empty PayGlobal Workflow Editor appears and you can create a workflow.

Model a Workflow Definition

You can use modelling to create new workflow based on an existing workflow. The model is a copy of the original that you can edit as required.

  1. On the Workflow Groups | Workflows tab, open the workflow definition that you want to model, and then click Edit.
  2. Click Model this Workflow Definition.

    The Create New Workflow Definition form appears.

  3. Enter a Code and Description for the new workflow definition.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Save + Close to return to the Workflow Groups | Workflows tab.

    Now you have to add your new workflow definition to the workflow group.

  6. Press Insert.

    The Add Workflow Group Workflows form appears.

  7. On the Details tab, select the new Workflow Definition Code.
  8. Click Save + Close to return to the Workflow Groups | Workflows tab.

    Now you have to edit your new workflow.

  9. Right-click your new workflow definition, and click Edit Workflow Definition.
  10. The workflow that you modelled this record on appears in the PayGlobal Workflow Editor window.
  11. Edit the original workflow to create a new workflow.
