Company Settings - Currency

Summary

These tab page settings are applied to all employees, regardless of their method of payment.

Fields
Pay whole dollars:

Rounds each employee's pay up or down to the nearest dollar depending on their previous payment. If an employee is slightly underpaid one week, then they will be slightly overpaid the next week. This overpayment is often referred to as 'This week overpaid' (TWOP).

Minimum monetary unit:

Defines the smallest unit that an employee can be paid. The smallest value that you can specify for Minimum monetary unit is:

  • 0.10 (10 cents) for New Zealand
  • 0.05 (5 cents) for Australia and Fiji
  • 0.01 (1 pence) for the UK.
Maximum monetary unit:

Defines the largest unit that an employee can be paid.

You can use these minimum and maximum settings to pay employees in units, from a ten cent coin to a one hundred dollar note.
