Daily View

Summary

You can customise toolbars by adding or removing toolbars and toolbar buttons.

Add or remove buttons

Each toolbar contains a set of default buttons that you can add or remove as required.

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on a toolbar.

    The Add or Remove Buttons box appears.

  2. Click Add or Remove Buttons to see the options menu.
  3. Click on a button name to hide or show the corresponding button in the toolbar.
Add or remove toolbars

The current contains default toolbars, but you can add or remove toolbars by using the right-click list in the toolbar area or the Add or Remove Buttons | Customize option.

When you add a toolbar, it appears as a 'floating' toolbar that you can drag-and-drop into the toolbar area.

Toolbar area

  1. Right-click the toolbar area to see the options menu.
  2. Click on a toolbar name to hide or show the corresponding toolbar.

Customise option

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on a toolbar.
  2. Click Add or Remove Buttons to see the options menu.
  3. Click Customize.

    The Customize | Toolbars tab page lists the default toolbars.

  4. Click a toolbar checkbox to hide or show the corresponding toolbar.
  5. Click Close to return to the current view.
Customise buttons

Although each toolbar contains a set of default buttons, you can add other buttons as required.

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on a toolbar.
  2. Click Add or Remove Buttons to see the options menu.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Click the Commands tab.

    The Commands tab page lists commands grouped by category.

  5. Click a category to see a list of the associated commands.
  6. Drag-and-drop the required command into a toolbar.
  7. Click Close to return to the current view.
Reset Toolbar

The Reset Toolbar option returns a customised toolbar to its default settings.

  1. Click the drop-down arrow on a customised toolbar.
  2. Click Add or Remove Buttons to see the options menu.
  3. Click Reset Toolbar.

    A confirmation message appears.

  4. Click OK to return the toolbar to its default settings.

Save your layout

When you finish customising your layout, you must use File | Save Layout As to save your settings. Your most recently saved layout becomes the default layout, and you will see it whenever you access this window. If you do not Save Layout As, then your changes will be lost when you exit or apply another layout.
