Employee Packages - Bonuses

Summary

The Bonuses tab page records the details of any bonus payments that an employee is eligible for as part of their remuneration package. PayGlobal can also record bonuses that are offered on an ad hoc basis, rather than as part of a remuneration package.

Adding a Bonus to an Employee Package

To add a bonus to an employee record, use the Select Employee Bonuses window.

  1. From the Employee Packages - Bonuses tab page, change to Edit mode.
  2. From the right-click menu, select Add Record to reach the Select Employee Bonuses window.
  3. Tag the bonus that applies to an employee remuneration package.
  4. Click OK to return to the Employee Packages form.
  5. Click Save + Close to return to the employee record.
  6. Click Save + Close to return to the Grid.

PayGlobal transfers the details that are associated with the bonus automatically to the employee record.

Changing Employee Bonus Details

Sometimes the structure of a bonus may change:

  1. From the Employee Packages - Bonuses tab page, change to Edit mode.
  2. From the right-click menu, select Edit Record to reach the Select Employee Bonuses window.
  3. On the Bonus that you want to change details for, press Ctrl+Enter to reach the Employee Bonuses form.
  4. Change to Edit mode.
  5. Change the applicable details.
  6. Click Save + Close to return to the Select Employee Bonuses window.
  7. Click OK to return to the Employee Packages - Bonuses form.
  8. Click Save + Close to return to the employee record.
  9. Click Save + Close to return to the Grid.

Fields
Start date:

The date that a bonus period starts.

End date:

The end date for a bonus period. Blank if the bonus does not apply to a fixed period.

Amount:

The monetary value of the bonus.

Approved date:

The date that a bonus payment has been approved.

Open:

A tick indicates that this is a current bonus period.

Bonus Scheme Type Code:

Bonus payments can be linked to company scheme plans. For example, a company may operate a bonus scheme based on certain targets being met.
