Troubleshooting Annual Leave

Employees | Payroll | Leave | Annual Leave tab

Summary

Sometimes an employee's annual leave appears incorrect.

To confirm your figures:

  1. View the Audit Log for a specific field to check if the value has been manually edited by a user.
  2. View the employee's History Log on an accumulator related field to see the accrual by pay sequence, or to view when the tables that have been attached to an employee have changed.

View the Audit Log

To confirm if a field has been manually edited by a user:

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click into the required field.
  3. Press F6 on your keyboard.

If the field has been manually edited, the F6 audit log displays:

  • Change Date
  • Change Time
  • User Name
  • Event, for example 'E' for Edit
  • The Before value
  • The After value

View the employee's History Log

To view the employee's History Log which illustrates their accrual per pay sequence:

  1. Click Edit.
  2. Click into the accumulator related field.
  3. Press F5 on your keyboard.

Note: This process will work on any field that is accumulator related, but is especially relevant to the Total accrued field.

F5 also works to display the tables that have been attached to an employee by pay sequence. For example:

Using F5 on the Annual Leave field in the leave tab page displays a record of all annual leave tables that the employee has been attached to.

The Audit Log does not record all changes to the employee's attached leave table if they have been set up to automatically roll onto another Leave table in the Next table on cycle end (Optional) field in the annual leave table.
