Employees | T&A/Rostering | Rostering | Details tab
Summary |
The employee’s default roster is derived from records on the employee’s Employee Tour, Employee Shift Override and Employee Timeband Override tables. When you open a roster period, PayGlobal uses the employee’s default roster to create CurrentRosterTimeBand records. You can view an employee's roster in Daily View. However, you edit their roster at employee level. Editing an employee's roster in Daily View overrides the Timeband for the selected day only. This tab page defines the Roster Period that an employee is attached to. All employees may use the same roster, or an organisation may use several different rosters. When you attach a roster period to an employee's record, that employee is said to be on a Permanent Roster. Permanent Rosters do not change from week to week. |
Fields |
Roster Period:The Roster Period is used to assign the employee to a Roster Cycle. For example, Weekly or Monthly. The Roster Period does not need to be the same as the employee's Payroll Period. Leave this field blank if a set Roster Period is not used. Shift:The default Shift code that will be used when a Shift/Timeband is inserted in the employee's roster. If an employee does not have a roster and you inserted a Shift Timeband in Daily View, then the shift that you specify here would be the default shift for that employee. Shifts contain a time range, such as 'Day shift 0800 - 1800'. If an employee generally works the same shift, then select the shift in the Shift field to set it as their default. Break:The unpaid Break time that an employee is rostered for when a Shift/Timeband is inserted in an employee's Roster. For example, '1 hour lunch'. If an employee does not have a roster, then this would be the default break for that employee. PayGlobal uses this default when you insert a Shift Timeband in Daily View, and for other processing functions. Job Code:The employee's default job code. PayGlobal uses the ranking order that you define on the Modify Company Settings | General | Costing | Job - Edit Timeband Rank tab to determine an employee's job code when you process actuals in Daily View. |
