Limit Rows on Initial Display

Summary

Row limiting reduces the impact on your network by requesting only the records that you require. If you select the Limit rows on initial display checkbox, PayGlobal minimises the amount of information that it loads in the entity grid.

Limit rows by code

If you select the Limit rows on initial display checkbox for the Employees entity, users attached to this security profile would see a blank Locate Employee Code matching field on the Employees | View Entities tab and the grid would be empty.

In the Locate Employee Code matching field you can:

  • Type the required Employee Code (such as 1099) and press Enter to load that record.
  • Type the first part of an Employee Code (such as 10) and press Enter to load all records that begin with that value.
  • Clear the field and press Enter to load all records.

Limit rows by name

You can also limit rows by any of the name fields.

Last Name

To change the Locate Employee Code matching field to Locate Last Name matching, click the Last Name column header or press Ctrl+2.

Note: Press Ctrl+1 to change back to the Locate Employee Code matching field.

First Names

To change the Locate Employee Code matching field to Locate First Names matching, click the First Names column header.

Name

To change the Locate Employee Code matching field to Locate Name matching, click the Name column header.

In the Locate Last Name/First Names/Name matching fields you can:

  • Type the required employee name (such as “Jones”) and press Enter to load all records with that name.
  • Type the first part of a name (such as “Jo”) and press Enter to load all names that begin with those letters.
  • Clear the field and press Enter to load all records.
