Allocations

Summary

An Allocation record is an instance of a requirement on a particular date, so Allocation records must always have a Requirement code and a Date.

PayGlobal generates allocations in the following ways:

  • When you open a Roster period, PayGlobal automatically generates Allocation records if the field Build allocations when opening roster period is set to Yes (see Periods - Details) and if there are requirements attached to requirement tours for that date range.
  • You can manually add new allocations (commonly used to record an ad-hoc requirement, such as an emergency requirement). See Maintain Allocations.

Allocation combines requirements and the roster so you can determine gaps in the roster. For example, Requirement = 5 and Allocated = 3.

The link between the roster and requirements is a combination of:

  • Requirement date
  • Requirement code
  • Requirement Tour code.

Note: You can edit allocations in Allocation View.
