Leave Approval Settings - Details

Payroll | Leave Setup | Leave Approval Settings | Details tab

Summary

The fields displayed on this tab will change to reflect the setting you choose in the field Write leave requests to.

Fields
Write leave requests to:

Use this field to specific where approved leave requests will be displayed.

The options are:

  • Legacy Modules
  • Payroll Only
  • Open Roster / Actuals Period (aka Leave in Open Periods)

Legacy Modules

When a leave request is split, Self-Service uses the Leave Approval Settings to specify which module each portion of the leave request is assigned to.

All records created in a version prior to Exolvo 4.23 / PG 1.95 RC36 will have this setting.

Selecting this option displays the Legacy Modules group of fields:

  • Before last pay module
  • After last pay module
  • Future roster module
  • Daily View module

Payroll Only

Allows you to have all approved leave sent directly to Payroll, i.e. processed in Transaction View.

When you create a new record and select this option all Legacy Module fields are disabled.

Open Roster / Actuals

Allows you to have all approved leave inserted into an open Roster and/or Actuals pay.

When you create a new record and select this option two addition new fields display (Roster time bands to restore on delete and Actuals time bands to restore on delete) all Legacy Module fields are also disabled.

As part of the setup requirements for LOP you will need to create a new record with this setting.•

Roster time bands to restore on delete

Allows you to specify what to fill the space with left by the deleted leave request. You can select from:•

  • Derived Roster (default) - retrieves the roster as it was when you opened the roster pay.
  • None - a gap is left where the leave was, i.e. no timeband.
Actuals time bands to restore on delete

Allows you to specify what to fill the space with left by the deleted leave request. You can select from:

  • Derived Roster (default) - retrieves the roster as it was when you opened the roster pay.
  • None - a gap is left where the leave was, i.e. no timeband.
Before last pay module:

Portion of the leave request that contains dates before the employee's last paid date.

The options are:

  • P. Payroll
  • T. Manual procedure
  • F. Future rosters.
After last pay module:

Portion of the leave request that contains dates after the employee's last paid date, but not after the employee's last opened roster.

The options are:

  • P. Payroll
  • T. Manual procedure
  • F. Future rosters.
Future roster module:

Portion of the leave request that contains dates after the employee's last opened roster (or any future period if your company does not use Rostering).

The options are:

  • P. Payroll
  • T. Manual procedure
  • F. Future rosters.
Daily view module:

Defines the Daily View module that your company uses. This setting determines whether Self-Service looks at the status of Rosters or Actuals when splitting a leave request.

The options are:

  • None
  • Roster
  • Actual.

The setting that you select depends on the modules that your company uses (see the table below).

Note: You cannot model these fields because modelling could potentially update a disabled record that is attached to an employee.
