Step 2: Set up Designer Report

Summary

After you edit the designer report definition, you need to specify its report settings (see Step 1: Edit Designer Report Definition).

Procedure
  1. In a report group, right-click the designer report that you want to set up and click Edit Destination/Format.
  2. On the File options tab, ensure that the Save to file checkbox is selected.
  3. Select the Format that you want use.

    Use the same type of Format as the File Type that you selected on the Print To File Setup form (see Step 1: Edit Designer Report Definition).

  4. In the Filename field, enter the full file path and name.
  5. On the Destination options tab, ensure that the Send to my inbox checkbox is selected.
  6. Click OK.

Show Detail Band

If the designer report has the Show Detail Band option on the Sorting tab, then do the following:

  1. Right-click the designer report and click Edit Report Settings.
  2. On the Sorting tab, click the Show Detail Band checkbox to select it.
  3. Click OK.

Now go to Step 3: Test Designer Report.
