Daily View - Customise Column Extensions - Details - Advanced parameters

Daily View | Tools | Customise | Customise Column Extensions | Advanced

Summary

You can set up advanced parameters for Summary or Totals columns in the Employee View area.

Note: Advanced parameters are database-specific and they should be set up by a consultant.

Procedure
  1. In the Employee View area, click a cell in the Summary or Totals column that you want to customise.
  2. In the main menu, click Tools | Customise | Customise Column Extensions or press Alt+F10.

The Customise Column Extensions form appears.

  3. On the Details tab, click the Advanced button.

    The Advanced parameters form appears.

  4. Set up the required values, and then click OK.

Fields
Data source options
Parameters:

Enter parameter values separated by commas to determine which timebands or values are included in the selected column. You can enter a maximum of 200 characters.

Timeband Example

The parameters that you can enter are based on the options available in the Reasons | Details (ii) tab | Payroll type field:

Valid Parameters

Payroll type options

H

Hours ordinary

B

Break

E

Extra

O

Overtime

L

Leave

P

Penalty

Note: The "H" parameter includes timebands with no reason code.

For example, to include hours ordinary timebands (timebands with no reason or a reason with Payroll type = "Hours ordinary") and leave timebands (timebands with a reason with Payroll type = "Leave"), enter the following values in the Parameters field: H,L

Transaction Totals Example

To include only certain allowances in a transaction total, enter the required allowance codes in the Parameters field, such as Z003. However, if the required allowance consolidates to a payroll allowance (Allowances | T&A/RS (ii) tab | Payroll Allowance), then enter the payroll allowance code in the Parameters field, such as 003.

Limit:

This hourly value depends on the type of calculation.

For example, if you were counting Rostered Days Off (RDO), then the Limit could be the number of hours that must exist between timebands for them to be considered an RDO, such as 30.9.

Alternatively, it could define the period in which PayGlobal searches. For example, if Limit = "10", then the search period would be from 00:00 - 10 hours on the first day of the current period to 24:00 + 10 hours on the last day of the current period.

Roster Scenario:

Select "Default" or "Live".

Calculation options

PayGlobal Development can create client-specific formulas, but this work is chargeable.

Formula:

Client-specific formula created by PayGlobal Development, such as a formula to count the number of RDO hours.

Parameter:

Enter parameter values separated by commas to determine which timebands or values are included in the client-specific formula.

Limit:

This field has the same function as the Data source options | Limit, but it applies to the client-specific formula.
