Summary

Use the Close actual pay clause to automate the process of closing actual pays.

When you run this clause PayGlobal closes Actual pays where the Period end date is older than or equal the "Close to" value and meets the criteria for Pay period and Process status.

Procedure

When you insert this action clause, PayGlobal displays a Close actual pay set up form.

This form contains a Details tab allowing you to specify the criteria for running this rule.

Pay Period:

Select the pay period you want the rule to be applied to.

You must and can only select one.

Close to:

Default value is "-1" meaning actual pays with a period end date that occurred on or before yesterday.

If you would normally close your actual pays several days or weeks after the period end date then enter a value reflective of your needs e.g if you close a week after the period ends you'd enter "-7". PayGlobal would then close actual pays with a period end date that is 7 or more days passed today.

Processed pays only

• Yes, means only Actual Pays with a status of "Processed" and within the defined time-frame are closed.
• No, means any open Actual Pay within the defined time-frame are closed.

Recommended usage

It is recommended this clause be run AFTER your actual pay has been fully processed and confirmed.
