Schedule Rules - Action Clauses - Backup database

Summary

Setting up automation process to backup your PayGlobal database using this action clause was recommended when PayGlobal was an ADS type database.

As PayGlobal is now an MSSQL database it is recommended such backup processes be conducted via MSSQL.

Procedure
  1. Click the Action Clauses tab.
  2. Press Enter to see the Fields list.
  3. Double-click Backup database.

    The Clause Dependencies list appears.

  4. Select a clause dependency:
    • If action clause fails, proceed to next clause.
    • If action clause fails, stop rule processing.
  5. Click OK to return to the Action Clauses tab.
  6. Click Save + Close.

This Schedule Rule must be added to a Scheduler record.

Note

During schedule processing, if a task fails and the If action clause fails, stop rule processing clause dependency was chosen, then the following occurs:

  1. All dependent tasks are deleted from the Scheduling table.
  2. The Scheduling_Dependency audit log displays:
    • The results of the task that failed
    • A list of the tasks that were deleted.
