Summary

Use this action clause to automate Importing Actual Timebands.

Procedure

When you insert this action clause, PayGlobal displays the Import Actual Timebands setup form. Scheduler does not access information from the Company Settings - T&A - Import Timebands tab, so you must complete all of the fields on this form.

Fields

Import Files:

The data path and filename of the timeband file to be imported. Click the pick list button to locate the import file.

Import Type:

The format type of the file being imported. Select from:

• CSV (default setting)
• PayGlobal
• TimeMaster
• StaffWorks
• Legacy RBL

Detailed Log:

This field does not affect the log because Scheduler always produces a summary log, not a detailed log.

Merge timebands:

Controls how PayGlobal handles the timebands in this import file when timebands already exist.

• Yes (default setting)

  If a timeband being imported overlaps an existing timeband, then PayGlobal does not import that timeband.

  If a timeband being imported does not overlap an existing timeband, then PayGlobal imports the timeband. The result is multiple timebands for the employee for that day.

• No

  The imported timebands replace any existing timebands where the employee and the date are the same.
