Payroll | Import Employee Work Profiles from Workforce Management command | Pay Import tab
Overview |
Use the Pay Import tab to control the operation of the Import Employee Work Profiles from Workforce Management command when importing work profiles for employees based on an open pay. |
Fields |
Pay sequence:Select an open pay sequence which the employees you wish to update are present in. When the command is run, all Workforce Management enabled employees in the pay sequence will be updated with Workforce Management sourced Work Profiles. Those employees who are not enabled for Workforce Management or who are not in present in the pay will not be affected by this action. Start date:This date is calculated based on the period start date of the earliest open pay sequence which is of the associated pay period, and cannot be changed. For example, if the open pay sequence is a weekly pay of period code 'W' then PayGlobal will look for the earliest open pay with this 'W' period and choose the start date based on this pay. The start date is then calculated based of the period frequency, as follows:
The Start date will be adjusted to the Monday prior (to align with Standard Hour work patterns in Workforce Management) and is that date from which the Work Profiles will be updated. Work Profiles will be sourced from Workforce Management and for NZ databases, Employee Definition of Week records will be automatically entered into PayGlobal from this start date based on the Workforce Management Work Profiles found. Profiled hours override date:Enter a date which will be the target date to update employees profiled work hours. The worked daily hours will be updated in PayGlobal from the Workforce Management work profile that is active at this override date. This date will default to the period start date of the earliest open pay sequence which is of the associated pay period. Detailed Log:Yes/No field that determines the amount of information displayed in the audit log. |

Multi-week Work Patterns |
In addition to the general guidelines for importing employee work profiles with multi-week patterns, the following rules specifically apply for the Pay Import process. When an employee included in the import has a multi-week work pattern active for the import period then definition of week records will be generated for each week from the import start date up to the first Sunday following the end of the Pay Period for which the import was performed. |
