Injured Persons - ACC (NZ)

Summary

Note: This tab page is visible when ACC Accredited Employer = 'Yes' and Country setting = 'New Zealand' in Company Settings.

The ACC tab page records data required by the ACCPP Claims Data file and uses codes that are specified by the ACC.

Fields
PCU code:

This field is free-text so type the applicable code. You must use the codes assigned to your ACC Employer number.

A PCU code is also referred to as a Premium Category Unit code or Business Industry code. ACC, Inland Revenue and Statistics New Zealand use these codes.

ACC uses the business industry codes to determine the classification unit. The classification unit has accompanying rates, which ACC use to calculate levies for injury cover and residual claims.

ACCPP Claim Data file requirement - NZ only.

Occupation:

The injured person's occupation. You must use the codes specified by the ACC. These codes are set up in ACC Occupations. ACCPP Claim Data file requirement - NZ only.

Job classification:

Enabled when Diagnosis code type = 'R – Read Code' and the Diagnosis Code = '1', '2', '3', '4' or '5'. Both of these fields are on the Injured Person Injuries - ACC tab.

The job classification of the injured person — specified by the ACC Read Codes 1 to 5.

Values specified by the ACC are:

  • Blank (default)
  • 1.Sedentary
  • 2.Light
  • 3.Medium
  • 4.Heavy
  • 5.Very Heavy

ACCPP Claim Data file requirement - NZ only.

Territorial Local Authority:

The geographic location that the injury occurred. You must use the codes specified by the ACC. These codes are set up in Territorial Local Authorities. ACCPP Claim Data file requirement.
