Summary

Position Defaults are used as a template for employee remuneration packages. They contain the parts that make up a remuneration package such as:

• Base Components
• Vehicles

PayGlobal takes the value of these parts to calculate important figures such as:

• Mid range remuneration
• Non-cash
• Total remuneration
• On-costs
• FBT
• Total cost of employment

When do I use this command?

Use this command after you have made changes to the details contained within a Position Default. PayGlobal will recalculate the figures above in accordance with the new values.

What does PayGlobal do?

PayGlobal:

1. Looks at the total components and vehicles of each Position Default
2. Calculates the on-cost, FBT and non-cash values
3. Takes the mid range remuneration from the appropriate Work Area Position
4. Calculates the Total Remuneration:

   Remuneration mid + non-cash

5. Calculates the Total Employment Cost

   Total Remuneration + On-costs + FBT

PayGlobal does not recalculate employee packages with this command. To recalculate employee packages, use the Recalculate Employee Packages run command.
