Summary

Often each Position in an organisation will have a remuneration package which holds common elements for all employees holding a Position. For example, all Sales Representatives in an organisation could receive a company car, laptop and out-of-town travel component as part of their remuneration package.

Function

The Position Defaults entity records:

  • Start and end dates for a default remuneration package. For example, a default remuneration package could be valid for only a specified period at which point it would be reviewed.
  • The Work Area Position that holds the default remuneration package.
  • Salary Band details, including minimum and maximum values.
  • Total remuneration cost.
  • Base Components of a default remuneration package, including their value and FBT amount if applicable.
  • Vehicles that are part of a default remuneration package, their value, ability to cash up and FBT amount.
