Summary

The Course Attendees | Details tab contains employee information about the attendee.

Fields
Employee:

Employee who will attend this course (see Employees - Courses.

For apprenticeship:

Yes/No field that indicates whether the employee is attending this course as part of an apprenticeship programme.

Status:

Status of the employee's involvement in this course:

  • Confirmed (default)
  • Passed
  • Absent
  • Failed
  • Transferred
  • Declined
  • Waiting.
Nominated by:

If you add an employee to a course through a nomination, then this field is populated automatically. When you manually add an employee to a course, you can enter a relevant value, such as name of the employee's manager.

Nomination:

If you add an employee to a course through a nomination, then this field is populated automatically. When you manually add an employee to a course, you can leave this field blank.

Reason for attendance:

Use this free-text field to record the reason for the employee's involvement in this course.

Result:

Use this free-text field to record the result of the employee's involvement in this course.

Status Changes

An attendee's Status changes in the following situations:

  • Confirmed

    In PayGlobal, when you click Transfer in a Nominations record.

    In Self-Service, when a manager approves a course booking.

  • Passed/Failed

    In PayGlobal, when you edit Course Attendees | Status after an attendee passes or fails the course.

    In Self-Service, you cannot edit the attendee's status.

  • Declined/Waiting
  • In PayGlobal, when you edit Course Attendees | Status after the manager declines the course booking or sets the attendee as waiting.
  • In Self-Service, you cannot edit the attendee's status, but if the manager declines or waitlists the employee, it changes their Nominations | Status to "Declined" or "Recommended".

'Save' Messages

If you manually add an employee to a course, complete the Details tab fields, and then click Save, the following messages appear:

  • "Do you wish to copy default Learning Outcome records?"

    If you click "Yes", then PayGlobal copies learning outcomes from the Course Types record to create Course Attendee Learning Outcomes records.

  • "Do you wish to copy default Course Feedback records?"

    If you click "Yes", then PayGlobal copies course feedback from the Course Types record to create Course Attendee Course Feedback records.

    Note: In PayGlobal 1.94RC11, 1.93NEARC27 and later versions, Course Feedback and Learning Outcomes are associated with Course Attendees instead of Courses.

If the Course Types record for this course is not associated with the employee's Work Area Position (WAP), then the following type of Information message appears:

"This Employee's Position [PositionCode] is not attached to this Course's Course Type."

This message just indicates that this course is not mandatory for the employee's WAP. Click OK to continue adding the employee to the course.
