Course Costs makeup records define the costs associated with running this course. Costs are course-specific and they are not associated with Course Types so you have to manually enter course cost values.

Fields

Cost Type:

Type of cost for this course, such as "Fee" (see Cost Types).

Cost Category:

Category of cost for this course, such as "Training and Development" (see Cost Categories).

Cost Centre:

Cost centre for this cost (see Cost Centres).

For who:

How the cost is calculated. The For Who and Per What fields determine how PayGlobal calculates the cost of this course.

• Course - Cost applies to the whole course.
• Instructor - Cost applies to a specific instructor (defined in the Instructor field).
• Attendee - Cost applies to a specific attendee (defined in the Employee field).
• Per Instructor - Cost applies to all instructors involved in the course.
• Per Attendee - Cost applies to all attendees in the course.

Per what:

How the cost is calculated. The Per What and For Who fields determine how PayGlobal calculates the cost of this course.

• By Duration - Cost calculation takes into account the course's duration (Details (ii) tab | Duration field). For example, if For Who = "Per Attendee", then the calculation is Duration * Number of attendees * Amount.
• Fixed - Cost calculation is based only on a fixed amount that is defined in the Amount field. For example, if For Who = "Per Attendee", then the calculation is Number of attendees * Amount.

Employee:

Employee/attendee to whom these costs apply. Use this field when For Who = "Attendee"..

Instructor:

Instructor to whom these costs apply. Use this field when For Who = "Instructor".

Details:

Use this free-text field to record information about this course cost (maximum of 60 characters).

Amount:

'Base rate' from which the course cost is calculated. For example, Number of attendees * Amount.

Cost date:

Date the cost was incurred for this course.
