Training Plans - Needs Analysis

Human Resources | Learning & Development | Planning | Training Plans | Needs Analysis tab

Summary

The Needs Analysis tab contains Training Plan Course Types makeup records for the learning events that the individual will do as part of their training plan. Course types are generic templates for courses that indicate:

  • Learning components associated with a course
  • Key attributes required to set up an instance of the course.

The Needs Analysis tab is also the platform from which Nominations are generated, which are effectively records in a waiting list for course events.

Performance Plans

In performance management, you can automatically generate a training plan from the employee's performance plan. When an employee completes a performance plan, you can generate a training plan for them. When you generate a training plan, PayGlobal copies the Course Types from the Performance Plans | Development Plan tab to the Training Plans | Needs Analysis tab. As a result, the employee's performance plan and their training plan are linked.

Procedure

To manually add a Training Plan Course Types record to a training plan:

  1. On the Training Plans | Needs Analysis tab, click Edit.
  2. Press Insert.

The Add Training Plan Course Types - Details tab appears.
