Leave Loading Calc Method Options (Aus)

Summary

In the Victorian Health Authority, termination calculations vary from award to award, particularly for annual leave. The Annual Leave | Values | Leave Loading Calc Method field contains a range of options that reflect leave loading termination calculations in specific awards. In termination calculations, the Leave Loading Calc Method overrides the Annual Leave | Rules | Leave loading unit payout rate/rule value.

CE - CEO's

Award 11 – Chief Executive Officers

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Hourly rate * On termination % of entitled

  • Bonus Hours

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Maximum annual leave loading / 160

  • Penalties

    Penalties paid since AL anniversary / Hours worked since AL anniversary (based on allowances with Use in AL calculations = Yes).

HA - Health & Allied

Award 04 – Health & Allied Services

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    Total Annual Leave * On termination % of entitled

  • Average Penalties

    Total Annual Leave / Hourly rate * Penalties paid since AL anniversary / Hours worked since AL anniversary (based on allowances with Use in AL calculations = Yes)

HP - Health Professional

Award 01 – Health Professional Services

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    Total Annual Leave * On termination % of entitled

  • Bonus

    Total Annual Leave / (Standard weekly rate * 4) * Maximum annual leave loading

HO - Hospital Admin Officers

Award 10 – Hospital Administrative Officers

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Hourly rate * On termination % of entitled

  • Bonus Hours

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Maximum annual leave loading / 152

  • Penalties

    Penalties paid since AL anniversary / Hours worked since AL anniversary (based on allowances with Use in AL calculations = Yes)

HM - Hospital Medical Officers

Award 09 – Hospital Medical Officers

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Hourly rate * On termination % of entitled * 4 / (Entitlement weeks)

  • Bonus

    Maximum annual leave loading / (Entitlement weeks * 38) * (Entitled Units + Pro Rata Units)

HP - Hospital Pharmacists

Award 12 – Hospital Pharmacists

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    Total Annual Leave * On termination % of entitled

  • Bonus

    Total Annual Leave / (Standard weekly rate * 4) * Maximum annual leave loading

HS - Hospital Scientists

Award 08 – Hospital Specialist & Medical Admin.

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Hourly rate * On termination % of entitled * 4 / (Entitlement weeks)

  • Bonus

    Maximum annual leave loading / (Entitlement weeks * 40) * (Entitled units + Pro-rata units)

MS - Medical Scientists

Award 18 – Medical Scientists

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    Total Annual Leave * On termination % of entitled

  • Bonus

    Total Annual Leave / (Standard weekly rate * 4) * Maximum annual leave loading

MI - Metal Industry

Award 21 – Metal Industry (Public Hospital)

Use the Annual Leave | Rules | Leave loading unit payout rate/rule value.

RN - Registered Nurses

Award 22 – Registered Nurses

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading 1

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Hourly rate * On termination % of entitled * 4 / (Entitlement weeks)

  • Leave Loading 2

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Penalties paid since AL anniversary / Hours worked since AL anniversary (based on allowances with Use in AL calculations = Yes)

  • Leave Loading 3

    (Entitled units + Pro-rata units) * Maximum annual leave loading / 152

SE - State Enrolled Nurses

Award 03 – State Enrolled Nurses

Pay the greater of the following:

  • Leave Loading

    Total Annual Leave * On termination % of entitled

  • Average Penalties

    Total Annual Leave / Hourly rate * Penalties paid since AL anniversary / Hours worked since AL anniversary (based on allowances with Use in AL calculations = Yes)
