Payroll | Leave Setup | Annual Leave Tables | Values tab
Fields |
% of entitled value:Percentage of the entitled portion of the annual leave transaction that will be used for leave loading. This value is usually 17.5%. PayGlobal uses the following entitled leave loading calculation: Units to be paid (entitled) * Rate (entitled) * (% of entitled value /100) % of pro-rata value:Percentage of the pro-rata portion of the annual leave transaction that will be used for leave loading. This value is usually 17.5%. PayGlobal uses the following pro-rata leave loading calculation: Units to be paid (pro-rata) * Rate (pro-rata) * (% of pro-rata value /100) Include in OTE calculation:Yes/No field that determines whether PayGlobal includes the entitled and pro-rata leave loading in the OTE total
or Loading allowance:Selecting an allowance here, means the amounts calculated for leave loading are transacted using this allowance record rather than bundling it into the annual leave allowance. You will only be able to select allowances with the following settings:
If the 'Loading' allowance is to be payroll driven (it can be driven from T&A) it is recommended the allowance have the Calculation method = 'K. Leave loading using AL Calculation'.
Terminations On termination % of entitled value:When an employee is terminated, PayGlobal pays out this percentage of entitled annual leave as leave loading. On termination % of pro-rata value:Enter a percentage of pro-rata annual leave to pay out as leave loading when an employee is terminated. Include in OTE calculation:When an employee is terminated, this Yes/No field determines whether PayGlobal includes the entitled and pro-rata leave loading in the OTE total:
or Greater penalties:This field applies to terminations only and it is rarely used. It uses the penalty flag in the allowance. This Yes/No field determines whether employees are paid shift penalties if their total value is greater than the 17.5% leave loading amount. or Greater penalties in super:This field applies to terminations only and it is rarely used. If or Greater penalties = 'Yes', then this Yes/No field determines whether PayGlobal includes shift penalty payments in superannuation calculations. Leave loading calc. method:This field is relevant to the Victorian Health Authority only. Termination calculations vary between awards, particularly for annual leave. The Leave loading calc method field contains the calculation method that PayGlobal will use in the termination form relevant to the award. See Leave Loading Calc Method Options - Australia for details about each method. Bonus hours:This field is used by some leave loading calculation methods. or Loading allowance on terminationSelecting an allowance here, means the amounts calculated for leave loading to be paid on termination are transacted using this allowance record rather than bundling it into the annual leave allowance. You will only be able to select allowances with the following settings:
If the 'Loading' allowance is to be payroll driven (it can be driven from T&A) it is recommended the allowance have the Calculation method = 'K. Leave loading using AL Calculation'.
Entitlement (weeks):How many weeks of annual leave an employee is entitled to after they work a full annual leave cycle on this table. The length of the cycle is determined by the Setup tab | Days in this AL cycle value. Note: The Entitlement (weeks) field is available for all accrual methods and it is mandatory when Setup tab | Method of unit accrual = 'Average Units', 'Rostered Units' or 'Weekly Rostered Units'. Entitlement (percentage of gross):Enabled when Setup tab | Annual leave pay employee type = 'Casual'. It contains the percentage of the casual employee's gross income that is accrued as annual leave. Entitlement (units):Number of units that this annual leave table will accrue during the leave cycle. For example, an employee is entitled to three weeks' annual leave a year:
Maximum annual leave loading:This value is the maximum amount of leave loading that the employee can receive in an annual leave cycle. However, if Recalculate = 'No' in the leave transaction, then PayGlobal cannot use this maximum. Maximum loading hours:If Maximum annual leave loading and Maximum loading hours are not zero, then the maximum loading is calculated as follows: Units * (Maximum annual leave loading / Maximum loading hours) PayGlobal takes the leave loading and penalties values, and pays out the highest value that is under this calculated maximum loading. For example:
In this situation, PayGlobal would pay out 150 (Loading 17.5%). |
